Spring Clubs 2017 - Friday

Friday clubs this Spring will begin on March 10th, and run eight Fridays to May 19th. There are no meetings on March 24th or April 7th, which are early release days, or during Spring Break.

Brother Wolf Rescue Squad

3:45-5:15, grade range: 3-8

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is an amazing organization dedicated to building a No Kill community in Asheville. This club will be on a mission to support Brother Wolf by assisting with various needed tasks. They will vary each week but may include important jobs like: folding laundry, organizing donations, giving the cats and dogs love, making posters, and many other opportunities. Some of this will happen here at school, but most weeks we will be going to Brother Wolf. Volunteering is a wonderful way to support your community and make changes happen!

Instructor: Amann Woldeghebriel, AmeriCorps Member and EverAfter Associate

Pokèmon Trainers

3:45-5:15, grade range: 3-6

Come learn to play the game like an avid Pokèmon fan! Using our own supply of cards and materials, along with some that participants may bring in, we will teach various ways to play the game, with a tournament-style match on the last day of the club. A strong focus will also be given to fairness, honor and sportsmanship.

Instructor: Pam Hecht, EverAfter Associate

On Belay!

3:45-5:15, grade range: K-8

*This Adventure Team club has a cost of $140

We have 8 weeks to crank up the tunes and explore the many options on our climbing wall. Want to become belay-certified? Speed climb? Use only your arms? Climb blindfolded? Touch the buzzer on the top for the first time? Just get off the floor? We can take all abilities and give you what you need.
