Weekly note:
Hi parents,
While we didn't get enough kids enrolled for the AMOS clubs, we are still hoping for one or two more kids at least to sign up for the Skateboard club so that we can run it and start on Monday. The enrollment for the May session of Climbing Club is now also active, and that starts May 1st. See the Spring clubs page for details and signup links.
That's it for clubs this year, but the other thing that many of you still need to do it sign up for summer camp! If you're looking to send your kids to camp here at Evergreen, please see the information and registration for on Evergreen camp website (this isn't done through SchoolBucks!). We are close to limiting additional enrollments so that we can solidify our staffing plans, so really, really, REALLY DON'T WAIT!
Another thing I wanted to mention this week, which may be moot for now given that the weather looks to be cooling off next week, is that we have noticed quite a few kids clinging to the winter clothing--even when it's 87 degrees! I personally have convinces a dozen or so kids ditch their hoodies this week. We know there are different reasons that kids may dress outside of the requirements of the weather, but, if your child is exhibiting one of them, maybe have that conversation before you leave the house?
Lastly, I wanted to acknowledge what many of you will have read in Evergreen's April Director's Letter before Spring Break, which is that I indeed am leaving my role as EverAfter Director at the end of this school year. I've been working with EverAfter for 18 years, 12 full time, and 10 as director. I've also been a part of Evergreen Summer Adventures in one way or another for that entire time as well. I've enjoyed most of it, loved getting to know our current kids as well as those that have come and gone since, and feel like the time is right for me to look to the next thing! I'm not sure what that is yet--it may well be another role at Evergreen--but I do know that being here has been awesome and I am grateful to have gotten to know all of you and your families.
