Weekly note:

Hi parents,

Next week on Thursday and Friday, Evergreen students and parents have their Spring conferences. Please see this week's Scoop! for details on that, and on using drop-in care for siblings during conferences. As far as EverAfter, Thursday is a normal afternoon, and Friday is an all day care day (normal pickup for Oakley, Bell and Haw Creek).

For the all day care day Friday, the sign up form link is in SchoolBucks, but if you have already filled that out this year, just email me to get on the list. Those already signed up were emailed on Tuesday, so if you didn't get that email, you're not signed up!

Also, we decided to wait a week on that gym Lost & Found purge, so that we could align with Evergreen's other Lost & Found stash. So, you still have tomorrow to find that thing your kid lost again! As always, labeled items will be returned--unlabeled items will be donated to ABCCM.

Lastly, I wanted to mention a thing that we as a staff have found ourselves needing to talk with multiple kids and grade levels about lately, which is pro-social play and healthy friendships. We've been dealing with a more-than-usual amount of exclusionary play, as well as "conditional friendships" where someone tells others something along the lines of "I'll be your friend but only if you give me your _____." For the former, we know it's not realistic that all kids get along all of the time, but we do expect kids to seek an adult's help rather than simply telling others to go away. For the latter, well that's just not a healthy friendship dynamic for anyone. If your child is in Kinder through 3rd grade especially, please chat with them about this at home, too!

Thanks!

- James
