Weekly note:
Hi parents,
Just when we were starting to get used to this school year weekly routine thing, next week we're going to go and mess that up! On Thursday the 25th, Evergreen has Student Led Conferences in the afternoon and evening, and more again the morning of Friday the 26th. Friday the 26th is also not a school day for Evergreen, and EverAfter does have all day care available. Then, in October, Evergreen has Fall Break on the 3rd, 6th and 7th--also no-school days during which EverAfter is offering all day care. The sign up for the all day care days is linked in SchoolBucks...and here.
*Note, all of these days are regular school days for Buncombe County Schools, so if your child joins us from there, it's business as usual.
Moving on, last week we announced that we have a couple of Fall Clubs starting soon! We didn't quite get everything up and running by last weekend like we were trying to do, but it is all ready now. Use these links for the full details on Lego and Chess clubs (Wednesdays), All Around Dance (Thursdays) and Climbing Club (Fridays, split into two sessions). Enrollments for all of these are now available is MSB Activities.
Two notes about clubs costs and enrollment procedures:
1. In the past, we have charged a lump sum club fee that replaces the daily rate on club days. However, we learned last year that SchoolBucks really isn't set up to handle that from a billing standpoint. So, this year we are going to charge a much smaller club fee upon enrollment, while also charging the regular daily fee oh days your child attends. Please keep this in mind as you decide how to budget your child's club enrollments.
2. When any enrollment in Activities is submitted, it automatically goes into the "Pending" category. We will leave enrollments for all club sessions pending until a minimum enrollment is reached--so, don't sweat if you don't see the invoice pop up right away; we're just waiting until we know the club is going to happen before we process the payments, which is a lot easier than processing refunds.
Have a good rest of your week!
- James

FAQ of the Week
If someone else is going to pick up my child, should I just give them my PIN?
-
Ehh...it's not the cleanest way, since the sign-out log will then say that you picked them up when you didn't. For one-off instances, it's fine, but anyone that is regularly going to pick your child up should be on your contacts list in MSB Activities, and they will have their own PIN for your child. To arrange that, email James.
